Red tail

These great hunters are all along the foothills above our home in Bountiful, Utah. We even have them pestering our little backyard flock of chickens. This guy, in particular, has taken a couple of our birds this year. Hard to be mad at him, though … just doing what he is supposed to do I guess. Striking birds of prey.
