As shepherds watched their flock by night …

It has become a tradition for me to paint a Christmas themed painting which we use for our family Christmas card. This is the 2019 version. I really had fun with this one trying to describe the soft, cool colors of a night-time scene while showing the brilliance of the announcing Star of Bethlehem and the reverence of the Shepherds.
