Confluence on the Provo

Majestic Mt.Timpanogos overlooks the Provo River as it snakes its way through the Heber Valley in northern Utah. In the winter, when the air is cold and crisp, I love to fish spots like this where the spring creeks feed into the main river, creating a flow of “warmer” water along one of the banks. The fish tend to congregate along this “balmy” current to feed and speed up their matabolism.
