Sea run cutty

In September, I was able to visit my daughter and her family up in Washington state. While there, we fished a beautiful stream for native cutthroat trout. It was fun to teach and watch my grandsons grasp the concept of fly fishing and have success fooling a few trout. the next day, we fished along the sea shore for sea run cutthroat trout (smaller versions of steelhead), then later that day we fished with gear for salmon in the Sound. All in all, a very fun trip for me! what could be better … family, fresh air and fishing! Our guide sent me some photos he had taken and I just had to try to capture this one on canvass. A view from underwater was challenging yet fun … enjoy!
