I also read your blog.. There were many paintings on there that I had not seen on your web site, so it was a real treat! There are many that I adore, and that stir emotions in me, but I have to say, for some reason, the one you painted of the pumpkins and crates for your art student at Michael's is one of my favorites! There's just something about it... it's got rustic charm, it's festive, yet warm and comforting at the same time! Maybe it's the time of year with Autumn arriving! You are so talented. Are you sure you don't want to come give lessons at the Michael's near me? LOL

I also saw all the family photos! Your a very handsome man Kirt! And what a wonderful family you have as well, 21 grandchildren... you are certainly very blessed! They must keep you very busy too!

Fine Art Instruction

Michael's Arts and Crafts stores in Bountiful and Layton, Utah are now offering classes for beginning painters and have asked me to be their instructor! I am thrilled for the opportunity! We hold classes on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm in the "in-store" classroom of each store, alternating locations each week.

I am not a method painter ... I teach fine art techniques that apply to all mediums. These classes are designed to teach use of color, value, perspective and light. Simply check in at the customer service desk at each respective store for class details related to schedule and subject. Subjects are varied ... landscape, seascape, florals and still-life's. I invite you to join in the fun!

I also teach group and private lessons for intermediate and advanced students. Contact me for details.

I always enjoy seeing your art. I think the fact that you are still learning is a wonderful personality trait the you have. One of my Five Life Principles is the Principle of Progression. I think as Humans, we have so much un-tapped potential that stays dormant until we make an attempt outside the box to unlock it, understand it, develop it, cherish it and have fun with it. I am glad that you are searching the depths of your inner-self to augment your developed skill. Most of us that are in awe of Creation express ourselves in our own ways. You my friend, have a wonderful way to express that awe and beauty of Creation!
